As we are a working smallholding and do not have a reception we request that you let us know your approximate time of arrive at least one day before you travel and advise us on the day if you are going to be later than planned. Please vacate your yurt by 11am on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed.
Campsite Karma & Other Stuff
As the shower, loo, kitchen areas are shared we ask you to please clean up after yourself and try to accommodate the usage of others.
Due to the nature of our site and the need to share all facilities we request that adult groups or nine or more book all three yurts. This is fairer leads to a more relaxed and happy experience for all.
We are a relaxed quiet site. We do not allow amplified music and request that all noise be kept to a minimum after 11pm.
We are happy for you to arrange any of the benches and furniture as you wish but request that you leave your yurt exactly as you found it at the end of your holiday; this includes putting up any of the futons that have been put down for extra guests.
Outdoor shoes must not be worn inside the yurt, for this reason we advise you to bring wellies or other easy to kick off footwear.
We do not ask for a damages deposit as the majority of our guests are careful, however we do understand that sometimes accidents happen. If you do break or damage anything we would ask that you report it to us immediately, so that we can make arrangement to replace or repair it for the next guests. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional cases as we accept that a degree of wear and tear is to be expected.
General Safety
Each yurt has a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. We also provide heat resistant gloves for loading the stove and can provide a fire guard for the stove (on request).
Only the candles in lanterns provided by us are allowed inside the yurt, although you may wish to bring battery lanterns for extra light, especially when the days are shorter. The outside lanterns we provide must not be taken into the yurts.
Campfires are to be attended at all times and must be kept small and manageable.
Parents and/or guardians are expected to supervise their children at all times.
We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
